Individuals with mental health conditions use tobacco products at a disproportionately high rate, which increases risk for related chronic medical conditions. In an effort to combat health disparities and promote wellness, social workers can encourage clients to quit tobacco products. Quitting smoking can complement mental health recovery, and have a long-term positive impact on the health of individuals and families. This webinar will explore the role of social workers as smoking cessation champions and recommend approaches to use in clinical social work practice with diverse clientele.

1.5 Social Work CEs will be provided. This webinar is for NASW Specialty Practice Sections members only.  Learn more about SPS Membership. Sections Members: Register now.
